Hillary’s “No Questions” Policy

Hillary Clinton

Before the Christmas break, the junior New York senator would normally recite standard campaign talking points to a couple of well planted questions in the audience.  Lately, however, she is increasingly ignoring the audience after her stump speeches and now when she’s done droning, her theme songs immediately blare from loudspeakers, preventing any kind of public Q&A while she lurks on toward the next campaign stop.

Her daughter, Chelsea, following mother’s lead having the same behavior when reporters approach her with questions. Hillary Clinton’s no-question policy didn’t win over a lot of voters with Iowans who came to hear her answer tough questions.

Clinton campaign officials indicated she may not take questions prior to the caucus. And her focus is on seeing as many voters as possible before the caucuses next Thursday. Her intent is to spotlight the messages she wants to deliver and avoid audience questions.

Spokespeople for her two main rivals in the Hawkeye State -– John Edwards and Barack Obama -– said their candidates would continue fielding questions as they troll for support.
